A loan of $1,250 helped to buy wood, hinges, and gallons of water.

Raquel's story

This is Raquel. She previously accessed a loan (50,000 PHP) to buy wood, hinges, and other materials for her modular business. Her earnings were a big help for the education of her child, for their personal household expenses, and for their business expenditures. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their everyday needs.

Raquel is now in the water refilling business for additional income. She would like to apply for another loan in the same amount to buy more wood, hinges, materials, and gallons of water for refilling. Her profits will definitely help her to sustain their daily needs and to pay for the educational expenses of her child. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart. Raquel hopes to have more customers and to expand her business. She also dreams of giving her child a good education and a good life. Every week, she faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of their work.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups which are composed of 15-30 community partners. These groups meet on a weekly basis to study the Word of God, to build social capital, and to pay microfinance loans.
