A loan of $1,375 helped to hire labourers to help sow maca.

Eulalia's story

Eulalia is 36 and lives with her husband, José. They have four young children and live in their own home in a rural area.
Eulalia is an enterprising woman. She started cultivating maca, her banner crop, 7 years ago. Maca is sown on remote and beautiful land throughout the community. In the beginning, Eulalia sold her produce to the intermediaries who would transport her harvest to the city of Junín. Three years ago, after seeing that her maca was high-quality, Eulalia was given an offer to sell to a company in the capital that makes drinks out of maca. With that, she began to invest in producing the highest-quality product. This generates her an annual net income of 9 to 10 thousand nuevos soles. Because of this, she is planning to open her own maca processing company. This will allow her to expand her company and generate a better income very soon.
At the moment, she still sells all of her produce to companies that transport it to the capital city.
She needs your help to sow a new crop, which she will harvest in nine months.
She belongs to the “Corazón de San Pedro” communal bank. She is sure to succeed with the other group members and is grateful for your support.
Eulalia will invest this loan in the hiring of labourers to help her sow maca. She will also buy seeds for this nutritious root plant.
