Mujeres Activas Group's story

The committee named “Mujeres Activas” (Active Women) is in its first loan cycle. There are 10 women who wanted to join together so that they could work as a group. By working in this manner, they will be able to help their children and family members.

One of these capable and hardworking individuals is Selsa, who is the group president. She has a small food pantry where she begins her work every day during the early morning hours. Selsa says that her dream is to expand her business until someday it becomes a mini-supermarket. She is requesting a loan so that she can invest in the purchase of beverages, dairy products, canned goods, vegetables, and other items. By restocking her business, she can continue to offer quality products to her customers.
