A loan of $425 helped to buy clothing such as shirts, dresses, pants, skirts, etc.

Blanca Estela's story

Blanca is 42 years old. She is originally from Managua and is married with three children, ages 16, 21, and 23. Two of her children are currently studying, and the third lives independently and is self-employed. Blanca is a saleswoman who makes a living selling used clothing. She started her own business four years ago with her own capital, the severance pay from her old job. She decided to invest this money in a stationery shop, which she later closed because she did not have enough time for the business. She now sells used clothing as a traveling saleswoman, with the support of her mother and her daughter. She has applied for financing to buy clothing such as shirts, dresses, pants, skirts, etc. She estimates that this loan will help her to buy the general merchandise she needs to take advantage of the sales season, which will help her to grow her clientele. Her plan for the future is to improve the infrastructure of her business premises.
