A loan of $300 helped to buy cheese, butter, quesillo (a stringy Honduran cheese), curd and meats to sell.

Magdalenys's story

Magdalenys is 46 years old, single, and lives with her sister in a district of San Pedro Sula. Previously she worked at a government enterprise and a year and half ago, with her own savings, started her business selling dairy products such as cheeses, butter, quesillo (a stringy Honduran cheese) and curd. She also sells chicken, soft drinks and juices.

She has set up her business in a shop that she rents in the center of the city. The loan she has decided to get is for 5,500 lempiras and she is going to invest it in the purchase of more dairy products and meats in order to keep her business stocked.

Her dream is to set up another location of her business so that she can expand and generate more income to help her siblings.
