A loan of $650 helped to stock his retail fruits and vegetables business.

Carlos's story

Sr. Carlos, 53, lives with his wife in southern Honduras. His wife helps him with his business and every other way, too. Don Carlos has operated a retail fruits and vegetables business in his town for 15 years. He operates the business in a good location, right in the middle of the town, and the business is well known in the area. Don Carlos will use the loan to buy bananas, tomatoes, lettuce, pumpkins, corn, cabbage, grapes, apples, melons, pineapples, garlic, etc. He hopes the investment will help him to meet the demands of his customers and, in turn, increase his revenues. Don Carlos sells good quality products. For the future, he wants to grow the business and see it become one of the best known in the area. Building a successful business will allow him to generate the income he needs to provide a better quality of life for his family. Choluteca, Honduras - December 2012
