A loan of $4,275 helped a member to buy polo shirts in bulk.

Los Amigasos Group's story

The "Los Amigasos" communal bank has nine members - eight women and one man. The president of the bank is 18 year old Cinthia. She has two children, a two year old and an eight month old baby. Cinthia sells a variety of seasonal clothing and, on this occasion, she is selling polo shirts. She is a street vendor and goes and about the market and the area offering her products. This is Cinthia's first loan with the bank and she will use it to buy a variety of polo shirts in bulk. She will thus be able to offer a variety of clothes to her customers and increase her profits. She is applying for this loan so as to keep improving her business because it is the warm season and there is a lot of demand. Cinthia will use the profits to continue to buy a variety of clothes. Cinthia is very hard-working and is happy for the opportunity she is being given.
