Carmen Delia's story

Carmen Delia is 54 years old, and is married with one son, who is currently studying at university. Carmen Delia is from the department of León, which is located in the western region of the country. In her free time, Carmen Delia likes to cook her favorite foods, including tacos and other typical foods from the area. Unfortunately, she never had the financial means necessary to pursue a university level career, though she would have liked to get her nursing degree.

Carmen Delia is an entrepreneurial, hard-working woman who operates her own clothing and cosmetics sales business. She started her business 17 years ago, and she works 10 hours every day. She plans to use the support from this loan to further stock her business with various products, including: cosmetics, pants, blouses, shorts, dresses, shirts, tank tops, underwear, bedding and other items. She hopes that this investment will help her to increase her profits and income and will in turn help her to grow her business. Carmen Delia is grateful for the support and opportunity that Kiva lenders give to people of scarce resources all over the world in developing countries like Nicaragua.
