A loan of $1,025 helped to buy flour and shortening to use to bake bread.

Roger Erberto's story

Roger makes a living baking and selling bread. HIs bakery is located in the Chasquipampa neighborhood. This is the first loan he has taken out through the communal bank. He will use the loan to buy flour, shortening and yeast at wholesale price so that he can increase his production and be able to satisfy the demands of his customers. The challenge that Roger faces is competing with other bakeries, specifically a bakery located in the same neighborhood that makes bread for wholesale sales. This is the reason he has requested a loan, so that he can improve his production and it will also allow him to increase his income. Roger is a young man with a strong desire to get ahead. He is happy and thankful to the communal bank for the support they provide.
