Mwamba Group's story

Luanda is an entrepreneur and member of the Mwamba business group. She is 44 years old, married, and the mother of 12 children who are all in school. Her husband is a teacher, and Luanda is a clothing saleswoman. Her business is located at the Central Market of Virunga.

Luanda started her business with funds she received from her husband. With her new loan, she plans to buy 20 pieces of clothing for resale. Luanda's aims are to expand her business and to educate her children. She is thankful to Hekima for their aid to women in poverty who are excluded from traditional banking outlets.
