Badih is a 38-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two children who are still studying. He has owned a motorcycle repair shop since 2008. His job consists of repairing motorcycles. He also sells some of them upon request. He became expert in his domain after many years of experience. He has clients visiting him from all over the neighboring villages. Today, he is asking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase the needed mechanic's tools in addition to some spare parts in case they are needed. Badih is looking to expand his business and earn higher revenues. In the future, he is planning to open a bigger store to buy and sell motorcycles.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
