A loan of $1,125 helped to buy general merchandise such as milk, sugar, and salt to sell.

Peter's story

Peter is a 53-year-old ambitious man living in Masindi, Uganda. He is married, and charged with the responsibility of taking care of 11 children; all are able to acquire an education.

He operates a retail shop, selling general merchandise. He has been in this business for 11 years. He started the business to meet the daily needs of his family, since farming is seasonal.

His dreams are to educate his children, and expand his business to new markets, despite the challenges of price fluctuation and theft.

Peter intends to use the loan to buy general merchandise such as milk, sugar, and salt to sell.
