Saveoun's Group's story

Saveoun, 38, is married and blessed with four dependent kids, three of whom are school-aged and one who is too young. She is a citizen in the Moung Russey district in Cambodia’s Battambang province. To support their family, Saveoun and her husband have been farming rice and sesame for the past ten years. They earn about 30,000 KHR each day.

Saveoun is requesting a 3,800,000 KHR group loan through the Kiva partner VisionFund to buy fertilizer and pay labor costs. She is the leader of a three-woman loan group and this will be her fourth loan. Her past loans have enabled her to better support her family. Saveoun will use her loan to improve the quality of her crop yield and boost her income. In the future, she plans to advance her children's education and send her youngest kid to school.
