Concepcion De Maria's story

Concepción, 49, a native of the city of Granada, is married and mother to 7 children under 18 years old. Currently one of them is in their 3rd year of secondary school. She is a trader with 5 years of primary education, works in the small grocery store business, which she has owned for more than 1 year.

Concepción started trading, selling food, at the age of 19 in order to gain a larger income as she didn't have a lot of money to raise her children. With the profits that this business generated, she succeeded in getting her family ahead, but she then decided to undertake another business, namely the small grocery store business, with which she gains a lot of profits. Concepción can count on other forms of income, such as her husband's salary which helps with the family's expenditure. She plans to continue expanding her small grocery store, buying the products which she doesn't stock yet.

She sought this loan to buy a freezer and goods such as fruits for her drinks, vegetables to make salad, meat, rice, fizzy drinks, etc., all the basic materials to make her drinks and dishes. Concepción wants the freezer to offer her customers fresh products, she is satisfied in the business as it is going well and sales are steady. Her future plans are to convert the small grocery store into a general store to increase her sales and thereby obtain better profits. Her next aim is to repay the loan to then seek another one to invest in her business and improve her day to day life.
