A loan of $250 helped a member to buy a cow to raise.

Yat's Group's story

Originally from a rural village in the Pursat province’s Kror Kor district, Yat is a 45-year-old mother of four dependent children, two of whom are dependent on her and still in school. To support her children, Yat has been farming rice for several years and her husband has been working as a paid worker in the local area to earn additional income. Together, they can earn about 17,000 KHR per day and can save about 7,000 KHR each day for their future needs.

Yat has been with VisionFund for one cycle and successfully repaid her loan, which has helped to better her family with enough household supplies. Now she is leading her group of three to ask for a loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy a cow to raise. She hopes this loan will enable her to have a cow to raise and help her in her paddy field business.
