Priscila Raquel

El Salvador
Usulután, El Salvador / Personal Housing Expenses

A loan of $1,500 helped to buy materials to build her house.

Priscila Raquel's story

Priscila is a 24-year-old married woman. She takes care of the household chores and also has also helped her husband in his farm work for several years. She wakes up every morning at 5:00 a.m. to make breakfast, then goes with her husband to the fields. In the afternoon her husband works as a plumbing technician at a well in their community until 9:00 p.m.

She buys the farming supplies such as as fertilizer, seeds and insecticide in a city that is several kilometers from her house. She walks four kilometers to the place where the bus picks her up and brings her to the city.

She is seeking a loan from Fundación Campo in order to buy materials to build her house. Since she currently lives in a house constructed of laminated steel sheets, she wants to build her own house where she can have electricity and potable water.
