This is the “Las Pioneras” [The Pioneers] Group. It is made up of seven women entrepreneurs who work at various business activities and are currently in their 21st loan cycle.

Jacinta is 50 years old, married and has one son who is in school. Jacinta has a sandwich cart from which she sells fried potatoes with hot dogs, hamburgers and fried chicken to her loyal customers.

With this loan Jacinta will buy chicken, potatoes, oil and disposable plates. One of her goals is to expand her business. Jacinta is very happy with this loan and is thankful to Edaprospo and Kiva. Este es el Grupo las “Las Pioneras” que conforman 07 mujeres emprendedoras que se dedican a diversas actividades de comercio que pasan al ciclo 21. Jacinta tiene 50 años, casada con 01 hijo en etapa escolar. Jacinta tiene su carrito sanguchero en la cual vende salchipapa, hamburguesa, pollito broster y cuenta con clientes fidelizados. Con el crédito que solicito Jacinta comprara pollo, papa, aceite y platos descartables. Una de la metas de Jacinta es de implementar más en su negocio. Jacinta está muy contenta con este préstamo y agradece aEdaprospo y a Kiva. Jacinta se encuentra en la parte de adelante es la primera del lado izquierdo, viste polo blanco con falda negra.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
