A loan of $475 helped to buy grocery items, vegetables, beverages and other edible products to stock her business.

Edith's story

Edith is 25 years old and married to Joel, age 29. They have two children, aged 4 and 1. This family lives in a rented home, located in a rural settlement.

Edith is a hard-working woman. Since the age of 19, she has worked in a range of fields such as agriculture, livestock raising and business.

But what gives her the most satisfaction is selling basic staple goods. For this purpose, she set up a sales stand in her home. She offers meat, vegetables, fruits, groceries, canned goods, beverages, etc. "In all of these years my store has grown, and I feel happy because I obtained everything I have today from my efforts," she says.

Twice a week she travels to the city of Tarma (1 hour away) to acquire the merchandise she needs.

Edith reports that the work is constant in her store, and thus she needs your help to obtain a loan and continue toward her entrepreneurial goals. This is loan number 2 for her with MFP. She is grateful for the confidence placed in her and confirms her determination to pay punctually.

She will invest the money in buying merchandise such as groceries, vegetables, beverages and other edible products, in order to stock her store.
