A loan of $800 helped to buy merchandise (men's and women's clothing).

Rosa Elvira's story

Rose, 40, lives in the city of Cañete, Imperial district, with her three children, whom she loves and are her main reason for living. She is a very friendly, hard-working, and enthusiastic person, who puts all her effort into advancing her children, since she is mother and father to them. Sadly, because of a lack of economic resources, and the need to work to meet her expenses, Rosa was unable to study a professional degree. But she would have liked to be a great cosmetician. In her free time, she likes to make delicious desserts and sometime she cooks a delicious "arroz con pollo" (chicken with rice) to share with her family. On her own initiative, and with a lot of effort and dedication, Rosa works in her small business selling clothing, for men, women, and children. She works every day starting early in the morning and she can work for about eight hours. She is very comfortable in her work and believes that it is going well for her because of the friendly way that she treats her customers. Rosa is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, because thanks to their help, she will be able to buy merchandise for her business, as well as two display cabinets and shelving. This way, she can stock her business and attend to more customers. Rosa will continue working and striving to achieve her big dream of expanding her business and having her own establishment.
