A loan of $475 helped to buy hammocks and vases.

Petronila Auxiliadora's story

Petronila lives in the city of Masaya, capital of Nicaraguan folklore. She is 68 years old and her nuclear family is comprised of her and her husband and she has 3 grown children who are independent.

The idea for her business came about as an alternative to increase the household income. Her business consists in buying and selling artisan-made crafts such as hammocks, pottery vases that she makes with the help of one of her daughters, and artisanal fabric flowers. The products are delivered to Managua to meet orders and so she can keep loyal clients and, thanks to the prestige, has added many more including clients who travel beyond the country.

Petronila wants financing to invest in her business. For this reason, she is requesting a loan that would enable her to meet demand. The loan will be used to by hammocks, vases, and the fabric to make her flowers. In this way, she will be able to keep working in her business and improving her quality of life.
