Olimpio Valentin is 63 years old and lives with his common-law wife and three children in the city of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos.

The community bank La Paulina is located in the parish of Puerto Pechiche Recinto la Paulina in the canton of Pueblo Viejo. This group is dedicated to farming and livestock.

Olimpio Valentin works as a farmer and grows corn, rice and other crops. He also raises chickens and pigs. He is seeking the loan in order to buy seeds, fertilizer, compost, herbicides and corn. With the help of this loan he will be able to buy the supplies he needs in order to raise his crops and feed his animals. He buys these supplies and sells his crops and livestock in the city of Ventanas.

His dream is to buy a parcel of land. He faces challenges such as crop disease and bad weather. In his free time he likes to go for walks with his wife.
