A loan of $2,675 helped to purchase equipment for drilling a well and installing a water pump.

Irina's story

Irina is a farmer. Since 1992, she has been cultivating potatoes and garlic. She is assisted in her business by her husband and her 18-year-old daughter, who is studying in college to become an accountant. Irina began her farming activity by growing baby potatoes.

Irina has decided to purchase the necessary equipment to drill a water well and install a pump. Her locale has major problems with water for irrigation, particularly during the summer droughts, and it is necessary to irrigate by hand. Her future business plans include starting a grape plantation and purchasing mechanized farming equipment for ploughing her land. She also would like to buy a vehicle to transport her produce to the market. Irina needs your help to finance the purchase of water well equipment.
