A loan of $575 helped a member to purchase a new sewing machine for her tailoring business.

Ambreen's Group's story

Ambreen is a 23-year-old hard-working woman. She lives in Pakistan with her husband, and son. Her husband's income is insufficient to meet the family's needs, so Ambreen is trying to help him fulfill their needs by stitching clothes.

She is an efficient tailor, and she wants to generate more income by purchasing a new sewing machine. Ambreen is a member of an eight-person group and has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase a new sewing machine to stitch more dresses and to satisfy the needs of her clients more professionally. She will extend her business if she gets a good amount of profit in the future.

She hopes, with the help of the loan, to reach her desired net income and be able to save for their future. She dreams of giving her children a quality education.
