Amador Roque's story

Roque lives in the city of Ica, which is characterized for having a very warm and inviting climate. Agriculture has developed there, especially the cultivation of cotton and asparagus, among others. Roque is a single father. Due to other circumstances, he had to become father and mother to his two children, who are now 18 and 6 years old and for whom he strives every day to be able to make them good people and above all to be better than himself. Roque works every day as a laborer on a property in his city, with which, and with great effort, he is able to pay his household expenses. He works about 8 hours a day, and he believes that his work is going well for him because he is very friendly with the customers and above all because he has a great will to advance and to be a source of pride for his children.

Roque is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since this is the second time that they have offered him their great support, and thanks to that he will be able to buy a stove, since he is now cooking with firewood. In this way he will avoid accidents, and in this way he will be able to offer a better quality of life to his children and continue striving every day to be able to make his greatest dream a reality: to have his own house.
