A loan of $1,200 helped to buy merchandise.

Ana Cristina's story

Ana, 23, is a woman living in the city of Chincha with her spouse and little two-year-old son who she loves and who are her main reason for living. She’s a very kind, hardworking, enthusiastic person who together with her spouse focuses all their efforts into moving their family forward. Unfortunately, due to limited economic resources and the need to work, Ana was unable to study a professional career but would very much have liked to do so. In her free time she likes to watch television and sometimes cooks a delicious “Carapulcra” to share with her family.

On her own initiative and with much effort and dedication, Ana works in a small business selling clothes and beverages. She works every day starting very early in the morning and can work for about 10 hours daily. She feels good doing her work and thinks she does well because of her good prices and the easy payment terms she offers her customers.

Ana is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support provided she will be able to buy merchandise like shirts, blouses and shorts, among other seasonal articles of clothing. In this way, she will have the business better stocked and will be able to take care of more customers. Thus, Ana will continue working and striving to get ahead and reach her great dream of finishing building her house.
