A loan of $600 helped to buy construction materials.

Jesus Alonso's story

Jesús, 21, lives in the city of Chincha with his partner and his little one-year-old child, whom he loves and who is his main motivation in life. He's a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who puts all his effort into getting his family ahead. Unfortunately, because of a lack of financial resources and the need to work, Jesús wasn't able to study to be an automotive mechanic, but he would very much like to have been able to. In his free time he likes to share pleasant moments with his family, and sometimes he cooks a delicious fried rice with duck to treat them.

On his own initiative and with a lot of effort and dedication, Jesús works as an independent tractor driver. He works every day from early in the morning and can work for approximately eight hours. He's comfortable doing his job and believes it's going well for him because of his good work and friendly customer service.

Jesús is very grateful to the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help he'll be able to buy construction supplies to repair the back part of the kitchen in his house. This way he'll give his family greater security and well-being and he'll continue working and making the effort to realize his big dream of having a better job as a mechanic for a big business.
