A loan of $825 helped to buy comforters at wholesale price for resale.

Ramiro's story

Ramiro is 22 years old. He has two children who are 4 and 6 years old. He makes a living selling a variety of bedspreads, sheets and blankets from his store which is located in the Delicias neighborhood in the city of Cochabamba. This is the first loan he will be taking out through the communal bank. Ramiro will use the loan to buy a variety of bedspreads at wholesale price, as it is currently the season in which there is high demand and he wants to stock his business. The reason he has requested a loan is because he has received various orders and he does not have the necessary funds to be able to buy the requested items. The challenges that Ramiro faces in his business are competition and meeting the increased seasonal demand. He will use the loan to increase his merchandise, and therefore his sales as well.
