Guido's story

Guido, who is 47, is an honest and very friendly man who has always worked hard to provide the best living conditions for his family. He is married to Narda, who is 39, and is the father of three children, Melina (16), Alexa (11) and José (5). They all live together in their own home which Guido was able to build as a result of his hard work and here, along with his wife, he shares the daily joy of raising their children and trying to give them a better quality of life.

Guido runs a motorcycle taxi business and so, every day, he drives round the city streets in search of potential passengers whom he drives within and outside the city. He conducts himself in quite a calm and tranquil way as he believes that his passengers' safety is the most important thing. Similarly, he always gives his mobile phone number so that he can be contacted by any client who needs his taxi service or possibly also his skills as an electrician. Consequently, he divides his days between the city streets and the houses where he goes when he is needed to do an electrical job. His experience and the quality of his work have made him indispensable in both of the jobs he does. He could also provide a logistics service for private companies. He has been involved in these businesses for 16 years and, although things did not go so well for him in the early days, he says that the situation has now changed and his income has grown significantly thanks to personal recommendations from all the customers he has worked for.

He now hopes to continue working and, in time, equip himself with more motorcycle taxis so that he can hire them out and generate an income in an easier way. He is, therefore, grateful to those who, by making possible his loan, will allow him to pursue his goals. Furthermore, he is once again very determined to make his repayments on time, as he did his previous loans. He is very happy to belong to his communal bank because all its members are very kind, friendly and supportive. With the sum requested (S/. 1500), he will renew the motorcycle taxi’s upholstery and buy the spare parts necessary to keep it in the best possible condition.
