A loan of $1,000 helped to buy seeds, urea, fertilizers, and weed killer.

Luis Felipe's story

Luis Felipe is 32 years old and in a free civil union. He has one son and lives with his partner and his 12 year old son in the Ventanas canton in the province of los Ríos.

The community bank LA VRC DULCE SENTIMIENTO, can be found in Recinto Caimato II, in the parish of Puerto Pechiche which belongs to the Pueblo Viejo canton. This is an area of agricultural laborers who grow corn, rice, and pigeon peas.

Luis is a farmer who sows corn, rice, and pigeon peas. He buys and sells in the Ventanas canton. He is asking for this loan to buy seeds, urea, fertilizers and weedkiller.

The loan will be a very great help because he will be able to invest in his agriculture business and buy supplies.

The challenges he faces are the bad climate, and pests. His dream is to be able to encourage his son and help him to finish his studies. In his free time he likes to play sport and spend time with his son.
