Manuela's story

Manuela is a very friendly person, and she defines herself as fighter, modest, cheerful and hardworking. Manuela lives in the city of Tulcán, in the Charchi province in the north of Ecuador. She is a single mother and has a son who is 11 years old. She loves him and fights every day to get ahead. Manuela instills ethical and religious values to her son. These are the qualities that make Manuela an admirable woman.

Manuela is requesting a loan to FODEMI which will be invested in the purchase of notebooks, books, school supplies, office supplies, and paper in different sizes to use in the copier she has in her stationery. Because her business is growing very fast, she needs more investment to meet the demand of existing customers.

Manuela's dream is to continue working in her stationery and as a copier because she is doing well and knows that if she keeps working and investing her money better, she will be able to give a good education to her son and improve the quality of life for her family.
