Omara Del Socorro's story

Omara del Socorro is 27 years old and married with one son who is one year old. She is from the department of Managua, a place that is located in the central part of the country. She is characterized as being sociable, hardworking and eager for personal improvement. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources, she was unable to study for a university degree but she would have liked to study business administration.

Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit and her desire to get ahead she has as her economic activity the sale of piñatas and party products. For 11 years she has made a living in this activity. The daily routine of Omara is to work about 12 hours a day in her workplace, an activity that she carries out with great pleasure since to date it has been the means of income for her and her family.

Omara is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help that they provide her she will be able to invest in working capital and stock her business in the buying and selling of piñatas and party items. In this way she will be able to sustain the business and increase her income in the not too distant future.
