A loan of $1,200 helped to buy fruit to make juice.

Lucila's story

Lucila, 47, is a hardworking woman. She lives with Romero, her husband of 25 years. Together they have four children, but only two live with them, Efraín and Mía, whom she takes care of in her own house. She's very happy because just just had her last child, a two-year-old daughter. Despite her age she feels the child's the light that illuminates her road. This is why she works with a lot of effort to get ahead.

Her main activity is selling juice in a space she adapted in her house. She has been doing this for seven years already. She's known among her neighbors, also because she sells school supplies to parents for the beginning of school. But the activity she likes most is knitting an assortment of colorful shawls, which she sells in a very well-known shopping center frequented by tourists from around the world.

She has time for everything and especially for her husband, who comes home every two weeks to spend time with the family, because he works in a mine the rest of the month.

She belongs to the La Florida solidarity group and this is her fourth loan with MFP, where she feels fulfilled because she gets help to make progress in her business. This is why she's committed to making her payments punctually. In addition, she likes to work in her group because they're responsible and supportive people.

When Lucila receives her support she'll invest the requested money in buying fruit to prepare her juices. If there's enough money, she'll also buy school supplies to sell in her store.
