A loan of $800 helped to buy construction supplies.

Abel Javier's story

Abel is a very enthusiastic young man with a strong will to get ahead. He lives next to his parents in the city of Nazca, in the Vista Alegre district, which is well known for its mining and agricultural activities, especially the cultivation of "tuna" (prickly pears). Abel is very responsible and, thanks to his parents' support, was able to finish technical studies in construction in an institute of his city. He now works as a master builder for approximately 10 hours a day and is able to assist up to two clients per day depending on the construction size. He believes he's getting ahead because he's responsible and his clients always recommend him.

Abel feels very grateful for the support he's receiving from Kiva lenders. Thanks to their help, Abel will buy construction supplies, such as cement, tools, sand and concrete, among others, to sell to his clients and obtain some extra money to support his parents and continue saving towards making his biggest dream come true: "to have his own house".
