Fred is a 29-year-old, government employee, who works as a primary school teacher. He has been in service as a teacher for two and one-half years. He is a father to two children, married, and lives in Kagadi, Uganda. He was inspired to enter the teaching profession by the respect it commands among the community members in Uganda.
In order to supplement his low salary he ventured into the coffee-growing business, despite the challenges of price fluctuations and high operational costs. His dream is to buy land and grow coffee on a large scale. Fred intends to use this loan to buy land for farming.
