A loan of $650 helped to increase his crop yield by purchasing additional agricultural seeds.

Ghulam Ishaq's story

G. Ishaq, son of G. D., is a 24-year-old young man. He is married and has two children. Because of the war in his home country of Afghanistan during the last 30 years, he could not attend school or continue his limited education, so he has worked instead with his father as a farmer.

Unfortunately, he does not have enough money to buy many seeds and other necessary goods in order to increase his crop yield and to thereby generate greater income for his family. As such, G. Ishaq is seeking a loan in the amount of $650 (30,000 Afghanis) to accomplish this purpose, and he will repay the loan in 24 months.
