A loan of $625 helped to purchase bee hives.

Francis's story

Francis is a resident of Likoni, Kenya. He is a mechanic, a business he has run for four years. In the business, he sells items like oil filters to customers besides carrying out the actual mechanic work.

In an attempt to increase his income, Francis now desires to invest in bee keeping/farming. Francis is a married father of five children, all of whom go to school.

Francis was introduced to Milango by his friends and is applying for a loan of 52,250 KES to purchase bee hives. He intends to save the additional income for future projects, especially upgrading his garage to be a fully equipped workshop for motor vehicle repairs. The only challenge to the current business is competition from other established business people, but he believes there will be increased income from this new investment.

Francis believes this will help improve his standard of living.
