A loan of $275 helped to buy bricks and cement.

Anielka Karina's story

The young woman, Anielka Karina, still lives on the same street where she was born and grew up. She is a young, single entrepreneur who, thanks to the effort of her parents, trained in language and literature since she loves reading. That is transmitted to the students she teaches.

She works as a high school teacher in the Mojarras region where she rises at 4am daily and travels 60km by bus in order to be punctual at her workplace.

She is responsible for the stability and well-being of her parents and wants to give them better living conditions, since they depend on her. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to improve their home by buying bricks and cement to expand a room to have more living space.

Because of the low salaries earned in her country, many times people are unable to fulfill their dreams. But, with the goodwill and compassion of the Kiva lenders, they can improve their standard of living and the economy of the people through these loans. For that reason, she hopes they will grant her this request to gradually fulfill her dreams.
