Mariela's story

Mariela is a humble woman from a town named Huambalo, located in the city of Ambato. Mariela is a single mother; she has two children--a 3 year old daughter and a 6 year old son--whom she loves with all of her heart and she strives day after day to help them succeed. Mariela is characterized as a hard-working and responsible person with an infinite love for her family and her neighbors. Mariela is requesting this loan from FODEMI to invest in the purchase of good quality onion seeds to improve her production as well as in the improvement and treatment of her field through the purchase of compost and fertilizers, to give them the maintenance they need for the next planting. Mariela's dream is to become an important onion producer, to have a large field where she can plant and harvest different crops, and with this income, provide her children with the education they deserve.
