A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a display case, a refrigerator, shelving, and a variety of groceries and drinks.

Julia Noelia's story

Julia, age 37, lives with her husband and two small children in the city of Ica. She loves them, and they are her primary reason for living. She is a very kind, hard-working, and enthusiastic person. She and her husband devote all of their efforts towards getting their family ahead.

Thanks to her effort, Julia was able to study for a career as a professional secretary. Unfortunately, she has not been able to find work in this field. In her free time she likes to read novels, and she sometimes cooks the delicious ‘Tallarines Rojos’ [similar to spaghetti] to share with her family.

On her own initiative, and with great effort and diligence, Julia works in her small business selling groceries. She sells basic needs products and drinks. Julia works approximately ten hours every day. She believes it is going well for her because of the good prices and the kind service she gives her customers.

Julia is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks the help they have given her, she will be able to buy a display case, a refrigerator, shelving, and a variety of groceries and drinks. This way Julia will have her business in better condition and better stocked. She will do this in order to be able to tend to more customers. This way Julia will continue working and putting forth great effort in order to achieve her big dream of being able to expand her business.
