A loan of $800 helped to buy fertilizer and to pay for irrigation, among other things.

Hermelinda Facunda's story

Hermelinda lives in the city of Ica. She is a single mother, and with great effort and affection, she provides for her children, who, to her, are the best that God has given her, and are her reason for living.

Hermelinda is very hard-working. She makes her living in her business as a farmer. She works in her fields around 8 hours a day. She has just planted cotton, and this type of crop requires a lot of care, above all watering and ploughing, among others. She believes that her business is going well because she is very responsible and above all, is very dedicated to everything she does.

Hermelinda is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, because thanks to their support, she will be able to buy fertilizer and also cover the costs of irrigation and ploughing. In this way, she will be able to have a better crop and will be able to improve her earnings. This will allow her to continue striving everyday to realize her greatest dream: "To have a better quality of life and above all, to be able to support her family."
