Jackson's story

Jackson is a 54-year-old married man with nine children living in Bundibugyo, Uganda. He operates a retail shop which he started in order to supplement his cocoa business, which is seasonal. His clients are middle-men and the cocoa factory which is twenty kilometers away from his farm.

Insufficient funds to meet the high demand and unpredictable seasonal weather changes affect his business. His business plan is to own a wholesale shop. Jackson intends to use this loan to buy merchandise such as salt and sugar to sell.
