A loan of $275 helped to pay her daughter's tuition and registration fees.

Maria Dalila's story

Maria is a very hardworking woman. She lives in the city of Chincha, which is known for its very warm and welcoming climate. Consequently agriculture thrives there and residents have a flair for preparing very tasty dishes.

Maria is the mother of two daughters, who are 15 and 17 years old. They are the greatest gift that God has given her and above all are the reason she struggles each day to be able to offer them a decent life filled with love.

Day after day, Maria works in a medical center in the city because she is a nurse technician. She works about 12 hours a day and is able to pay household expenses from the fruit of her labor since she is a single mother. She believes that she is doing well at work because she is a responsible person and since very young she has always wanted to help people.

Maria is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to their help, she will be able to pay for the educational expenses of her oldest daughter. Her daughter has been accepted at an institution in the city and Maria has to pay her tuition and registration fees. In this way she will be able to give her daughter a higher education and continue struggling to make her greatest dream a reality, that of helping both of her daughters become professionals so they will be able to improve their quality of life.
