Josefina's story

Josefina is a 44-year old woman from San Lorenzo, Boaco, Teustepe. She is single, has a 19-year old son, and works as a seller in her grocery store. She set up her business with some money that her mother had saved to help her open the store. She started selling small products and, thanks to the earnings obtained, has been able to support herself and her son, who has helped to manage the business very well.

She now plans to expand the business with an aim to increase sales and earnings, and is asking for a loan to buy goods in general, such as rice, sugar, oil, soap, coffee, milk, batteries, etc. She wants to add all the necessary products to her store so that she can offer a varied selection to satisfy her customers' needs. Her future plans are to improve the infrastructure of her house so that her business will have a better presentation. In a shorter term, she also wants to help her son to prepare for a better future with his university studies.
