Natividad's story

Natividad, 40 years old, is a good and friendly woman. She is married to Eduardo who works in transportation and they have 2 children who are her reason for effort and work. They are Nora, 17 years old, and Tedy, 6 years old. She lives in her own house at the side of her husband and their children. What she wants more than anything is to be able to provide a better quality of life to her family, and for that reason she works a lot to be able to achieve it. The work of Natividad consists of the sale of food, including noodles, fried food, and grilled fish. She also sells lollipops and a variety of sodas. She makes her sales daily inside a school where they let her have a food stand in order to satisfy the hunger of the students and delight them with her exquisite cooking. She started the business more than 3 years ago, and up to this moment she has been able to do it with the support of her husband and occasionally her son, in addition to a helper in the kitchen who she pays for each week of work. She considers her business to be very worthwhile due to the continuing customers that she has and the good profits that she makes. She comments that she received her cooking skills from her mother, who gave her lessons about cooking and how to have good sales. She also considers her business to be worthwhile because it lets her have income so that she is able to provide her family while a better quality of life. She hopes to be able to continue working to be able to make progress and move forward with her family. She has many plans but at the moment she is hoping to expand her business. This will be the 18th loan with MFP. She wishes to continue her collaboration in order to continue her objectives. For her part, she is committed to making her payments on time like the previous loans she had. Additionally, she feels very comfortable working with this communal bank because they are good and very responsible. With the requested amount of 2000 soles, she will purchase the ingredients and supplies for the preparation of her food, like chicken, meat, rice, oil, and others, in addition to implementing her small candy stand in order to be able to offer a better variety for her customers. In both cases she will look for low prices due to the volume of purchases, in order to be able to increase her profit margin.
