A loan of $775 helped to buy a movable food stall.

Victor's story

Víctor works Monday through Friday in a mining company. He and his co-workers generate the electricity for this city because it's generated by coal in the northern part of the city.

He's the head of his family and at a young age he went to the United States to work so he could give his only daughter a better standard of living. He worked hard when he was there and would send money to his wife, who set up a used-clothing business. He continued working but he missed his family so he returned to his native city.

He thought that with some effort he could get a good job, and that was how he managed to be one of those selected to work in the mining company. On the weekend he helps his wife with her used clothing business, but because Víctor's an enterprising person, now he wants to buy a movable food stall to open on weekend nights.

This shows that Víctor has always been concerned with increasing his family's standard of living, contributing with his effort to be a better citizen.
