Evenecer Group's story

The group "Evenecer" is made up of six members, people who have always known each other as they have always lived in the community where they meet. They are hard workers with a desire to succeed. The name of the group was chosen by the members however the meaning is not precisely known, they chose it because it means "God is here" and because it is a group that has worked for a long time with the institution. Angeles, a member, is 55 years old. She has been married for 39 years to Julio and together they have nine children all of whom all are independent. Angela, as she is commonly known, is an older woman yet this doesn’t stop her from achieving her dreams. She is requesting a loan from the institution to buy more merchandise such as plastic products and household products. Thirty-five years ago Angela decided to sell these products in markets she says because she wanted to help her husband with household expenses and the education of their children so they could have a better quality of life. The difficulty is not having a stable place where they can offer their products as the authorities prevent them from selling outside the market. Angela says that not too long ago they were victims of theft in another state. For Angela’s family it was a scare but she thanks God that the thieves did not hurt any family members, they only took the merchandise but for Angela it was a big scare. In spite of this bad experience, she continued selling her articles because for Angela and Julio the most important thing was the welfare of their children, "One day I would like to have a stable location where my husband and I could sell our merchandise peacefully as we are already seniors. It’s very difficult to walk in the market offering our products.” Angela and the group are very pleased for the loan granted as it will help them invest in their businesses; Albino will invest in pillows, Amelia in household products, Felisa and Hermenegilda will invest in remote controls for televisions, and Sabina in electronic products.
