She has three children, one of whom is still in school in the local area, while the others help their family’s business. To support her family, she has been farming rice on 5 hectare area of farmland. Having been in this business for 10 years, she is able to earn about 10,000KHR per day and manage to save about 5,000KHR each day after daily expenses.

This is the first microloan for Rourng with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now she is requesting a loan of 2,000,000KHR. She wants to use this loan to pay for labor fees in harvesting rice. She hopes to get a high crop yield from her paddy business so as to make her living conditions better and keep her child in school.
