Marivic, 37 years old, is a married entrepreneur in San Carlos, Tukuran, with three children. She is earning from her transportation service business. It has been going for almost three years now and she earns PHP 6,000 a month. To improve business, she borrows the amount of PHP 25,000 from GDMPC microcredit, which she just joined recently to obtain accessories and tires. She’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding her business before long.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
