Shemu is a thirty-two-year-old married man who has three children. They all live in Kasese,Uganda. Ten years ago he decided to venture into the retail business in order to provide basic needs for his growing family since farming was seasonal and did not allow him to meet their daily expenses. He wishes to construct a permanent residential house and expand his business to new areas, despite challenges of stiff competition and high transport costs.
Shemu is requesting a loan to buy sugar, salt, clothes, and cooking oil to sell.
This loan provides farmers and low-income entrepreneurs from underserved rural areas with access to financial services. By supporting this loan, you allow more farmers and rural entrepreneurs to access capital.
