A loan of $250 helped to buy children's underclothes, slippers, fabric, etc. to expand her business.

Martha's story

Martha is 49 years old and stopped her education at fifth grade. She is married and has five children between the ages of 18 and 32 years old. Only one of her children is in school. Her husband is a driver. They all live in Buchanan in Ground Bassa County, which is good at producing fish on the Liberian local market.

Martha has been selling children’s underclothes, slippers, fabric, etc. in the local market. She learned this way of selling from her friends. She requested an 18,000 LRD loan to buy children’s underclothes, slippers, fabric, etc. to expand her business.

She likes her business because it helps her to attend to her family, and she hopes to have a new home.
